Terms of Service
Unbound Reviews · Last updated 1 November 2026
Unbound Reviews (reviews.unbound.agency) is provided by Unbound, a digital marketing agency in New Zealand, to the businesses we work with (“clients”). These terms apply to everyone who uses the service. By signing in or using it, you agree to them. If you use the service on behalf of a business, you agree for that business too.
1. The service
The service sends review requests to a client's customers by SMS and email. It also provides a review page, collects private feedback, shows the client's Google reviews, helps write and post replies, and can share reviews to the client's social media. Some features depend on the third-party accounts a client connects.
2. Accounts and access
- You sign in with a Google account. Only accounts that Unbound has invited can access a client's workspace.
- Keep your Google account secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your access.
- Clients are responsible for the people they ask us to give access to, and should tell us when someone leaves.
- We may suspend access to protect the service, a client or the people being messaged.
3. Client responsibilities
- Only add customers you have a genuine business relationship with and are allowed to contact. You're responsible for complying with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007 and the Privacy Act 2020 for the details you provide. The service honours opt-outs automatically.
- Follow Google's review policies. Don't offer rewards for reviews, don't post or ask for fake reviews, and don't stop unhappy customers from reviewing. The review page lets every customer choose to post on Google.
- Keep your business details accurate. Replies and posts published from your workspace are your responsibility.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to send spam or anything unlawful, misleading, abusive or defamatory. Don't try to get around access controls, interfere with the service, or copy or reverse-engineer it.
5. AI-suggested replies
Suggested replies are drafted by AI and may be inaccurate or unsuitable. Check them before posting. If a client turns on auto-reply, replies are posted without review, at the client's choice.
6. Third-party services
The service relies on providers including Google, Meta, LinkedIn, SMS Everyone and Twilio SendGrid, and their own terms apply when you connect them. We aren't responsible for their outages, changes or decisions, such as a platform removing or filtering a review.
7. Fees
Fees for the service are as agreed between Unbound and the client.
8. Your content
Clients own their data and content, including customer details, feedback and replies. You allow us to use them only to provide and support the service. We own the service and its software. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service reliable but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, add or remove features and will tell clients about changes that significantly affect them.
10. Liability
The service is provided to businesses for business purposes, so the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data or harm to reputation. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the client paid for the service in the three months before the claim.
11. Ending the service
A client can stop using the service as set out in its agreement with Unbound. When a client account is closed, its data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. We may end access for anyone who breaches these terms.
12. General
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction. We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
